After
a long and failed discussions between the Taliban leaders
and the Executive Director of Aid Afghanistan for Education in May 1999
about the re-opening of the girl's schools, Aid Afghanistan for Education
opened five clan destine schools for girls, which served 250
students. These students successfully passed their exams
and as of March 21, 2002, had been integrated into the regular
school system.
